Sadly, tragically Emiliano Sala died in a plane crash off Alderney on Monday 21 January 2019. He was a passenger aboard a Piper Malibu light aircraft flying from Nantes to Cardiff where, following a period of fevered speculation, he had been signed to play 2 days beforehand, on Saturday 19 January 2019.
